Markham, Ontario. Elastic Care has obtained FDA 510(k) clearance for LifePath RPM, the company’s flagship remote patient monitoring platform. A pair of apps connects clinicians with patients to measure biometric data, communicate, manage prescriptions, organize care, and handle integrated billing with direct payouts to practitioners.
The LifePath remote patient monitoring platform connects with compatible measurement devices (blood pressure meters, pulse oximeters, thermometers, and glucometers) to collect vital signs. It is intended to be used at home or in healthcare environments such as long-term care facilities, clinics, nursing homes, and hospitals.
“LifePath RPM offers remote health monitoring across a broad spectrum of health measurement devices. Our goal is to enable high-quality, data-driven care: measuring physiological parameters, reducing guesswork, and supporting clinicians and patients between visits,” said Ashok Kalle, CEO of Elastic Care.
The platform securely makes data available for remote viewing by clinicians through a clinician app. Clinicians can review data, prescribe medications, make notes, set office hours and charge-out rates, conduct direct billing, and contact patients as needed. Alert thresholds for biometric data can be set individually for each patient, with notifications sent to the clinician when a threshold is crossed.
